Tampa, Florida — August 15, 2025 — Steve Harris, Senior Vice President of Continuing Education at Learning
Alliance Corporation, will speak at BICSI Beyond 2025, taking place August
17–20, 2025, at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Harris will deliver a featured Lightning-Learning session
titled “Breaking Barriers with Photons: How Free-Space Optics Are Shaping
Tomorrow’s Networks” on Tuesday, August 19, from 1:20 PM to 1:40 PM
in Veronese 2401 & 2501.
In this session, Harris will explore how Free-Space Optics
(FSO) provides fiber-like network performance without the limitations of
physical infrastructure. He will highlight how this emerging technology
supports high-speed, secure, and scalable connectivity; from urban deployments
to rural broadband and 5G backhaul. Harris’s presentation will focus on how
photonic innovation opens new pathways for network growth and helps bridge gaps
in global broadband access.
BICSI Beyond 2025 marks a new era for the organization’s
annual Fall conference, redesigned around the theme “Convergence: Where
