Telecom Technicians (also known as Broadband Technicians) are responsible for building and maintaining critical communication infrastructure. In this hybrid model, you’ll train to install VoIP systems, configure cable internet and digital TV, and troubleshoot low-voltage signal issues across residential, commercial, and small business environments. You’ll gain experience in both field installations and backend systems—putting you at the center of today’s connected world.
Install cable drops, DVRs, MoCa systems, and unshielded twisted-pair wiring for reliable TV and internet delivery.
Use tools and questioning techniques to resolve connectivity issues, motherboard failures, and hardware faults.
Install and support VoIP systems, internet/phone hybrids, and broadband-connected devices for residential and business customers.
Identify and troubleshoot common causes of signal loss in broadband systems, ensuring top-quality installations.
Deliver consistent, high-quality performance across phone, TV, and internet systems while meeting field metrics and standards.
